The Geek in Pink

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I've been a little MIA from the blog, but apart from writing in my fashion blog I, also,  have a wedding to plan! I'm getting married in 6 months!! The time is going by so fast and there's still so much to do. This past weekend I went with my maid of honor to buy my wedding shoes, which I wanted to share with you guys and I will post at the end of today's post.

Now, let's get to today's outfit!
I had posted the layout of this outfit on my Instagram (@pattys_kloset) a few days ago. I was feeling inspired, so I thought of mixing one of favorite summer skirts and making it a fall look. I got this skirt over the summer from Joyce Leslie. I loved the color and I think the pleading on it gave the skirt a very girly vibe in comparison to a black leather skirt that screams rocker chic. I was unsure of how it would look on me because I'm only 5'1 and I didn't want it to look like I was drowning. However, once I tried it on it was the perfect pleaded skirt. I paired the skirt with a chambray top from Forever21, which I've gotten so much use of. My fashion tip for today: one of the many benefits of a chambray top is that it can be styled in various ways.

To give this outfit more of a Fall look I added a purple knitted beanie from Aeropostale.

This fabulous bag is from Justfab, which I scored for only $20. I love that it's oversized! They carry this bag in many colors, so I decided to go with good old black because I feel like this can be my everyday bag to work as well. For the accessories: a gold chain and gold bracelets are from Forever21 and my glasses, which definitely gave it the geeky look I was looking for, are my prescribed glasses. (I'm as blind as a bat, haha!), but you can find similar non prescription glasses here

My lovely comfy shoes are Jefferey Campbell Lita inspired, which I got at local shop. You can find similar ones in a variety of colors here

I hope you guys enjoyed my post today, and don't let the Monday Blues get ya ! :)

Oh, wait, I almost forgot: as promised, here are my wedding shoes that I purchased this weekend!
I found them at Bloomingdales. It was love at first sight; the minute I spotted these babies I knew those were the ones I was walking down the aisle in!

Thank you so much for reading guys, and remember: you don't have to spend a million bucks to feel like a million bucks. Patty's Kloset will be here if you need to find something to wear.
