Pulling off an Edgy Look

Whenever I hear the word edgy for some reason I think of Rihanna. Lol. I couldn't help but break into this jacket. If you read the last post (here) you know I snagged it on a major sale. 

I had edgy on my mind when I was thinking on how to wear it for the first time. I paired it with a black midi skirt and a denim top. I usually don't button up my top all the way to the top but it gave the outfit a nice element and made the statement necklace stand out a bit more. This one is definitely a statement piece all right. It was the perfect fit for the edgy vibe. I didn't want to incorporate color [except for my favorite signature red lip] and keep it more on the dark side. I completed the look with some lace up heels. I think this was the cherry on top in completing the outfit. I've had these lace up babies for a while now and they pair so well with jeans or a skirt. Love a versatile piece!
