5 Reasons I Love Being a Woman

Who run the world?! GIRLS! Today is International Women's Day and it only felt right to share five reasons that I love being a woman. This day has been celebrated since the 1900s, although lets be
 real: we women are the backbone of this world and that has been true since the beginning of time! Originally the day was called "Working Women's Day" but now it celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. So ladies, lets let the world celebrate us today!

Here's 5 reasons why I love being a woman:

1. Natural Born Leaders

Because of the expectations placed by society, women are expected to perform twice as much just to prove themselves. Growing up I always felt like I've had to prove myself in many aspects of my life because I'm first and foremost a women, but also a Latina and due to my babyface. I always loved to prove people wrong when they felt I couldn't do something because they felt any of those three things were a disadvantage to me. 

2. The Miracle of Life

I mean... we reproduce! Women carry a baby to child birth and that's a beautiful thing right there, but then what about the women that support the little humans? We women fill many roles. I can't wait until the day God blesses me with the title of being a mom. I think it's pretty amazing to grow and carry a baby, and I am humbled by the sacrifices I've seen some of you guys make for your children.

3. Live Longer

The life expectancy of women is 80, while a man is 70. 10 years more for us to break through glass ceilings!

4.Wide Variety of Wardrobe Choices

Sorry guys, but we have way more options of clothing to choose from. Skirts, pants, jumpsuits, maxi dresses? the list goes on and on. Despite what Kanye says, no, men do not look good in skirts. 

5. Car Insurance is Cheaper

Women are less likely to have a DUI by 50% than men, therefore we get cheaper car insurance. With all that extra money we save, we can buy more of the variety of clothing we're fortunate to have access to.
