Are you stuck in a personal style rut? I honestly think we've all been there. Today I'm chit chatting with you guys about personal style. Finding it can be a struggle for some people. It inspired me to create this post and share some tips with you guys because it doesn't have to be a scary thing. Even if you're on a budget, there's many ways to make it work.

Style and fashion are two different things. Style goes a little beyond clothes and it's something that should be unique to you. I must say that over the years my style has evolved a lot and that's ok as I'm sure it will keep evolving. I definitely know what my style is, what my likes are, and how to look trendy without losing my personl style. If you are in a bit of a rut check out these tips!
Find Inspiration
Pulling different types of inspiration from various places is a great way to figure out what you like and dislike. Pinterest is a huge inspiration place for me; you can find literally everything on there. When I'm stuck in a rut I always resort to my Pinterest boards. You can also gather inspiration via Instagram from your favorite celebrities, style icons, and bloggers. I love that now on Instagram you can save any posts and create private boards for yourself.
Clean your Closet
Take a look at your closet right now. Are there things you haven't worn within the last year? Toss it so you can give your wardrobe a fresh start. I've always been of the belief: if I didn't wear it last season or this season I will probably not wear it next season so it needs to go. Once you clean out your closet you can fill the holes in your wardrobe and begin to rebuild and refine.
Be A Smarter Shopper
This is where the budget part comes in. There are so many fashion trends that come and go and it's ok to shop trends but the smart way. Hunt for trendy pieces at discount places like Forver21, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls just to name a few. Do your splurging on staple pieces like a handbag, a coat or leather boots!
Be Confident
DVF said it best, "Confidence. If you have it, you can make anything look good." Wear what makes you happy. Own your style and be proud of it! I think it really comes down to feeling good in your own skin. Your style should reflect your individuality and lifestyle. Use fashion as a way to express who you are and who you want to be. I'm sure that's something that never goes out of style.
