When I was a kid my parents always dressed me up, especially for the holidays or big occasions in big frumpy dresses and I can definitely remember a handful of them being polka dot print. I honestly wasn't even mad at that because I loved polka dot dresses and as you can see in today's post I still do. I saw polka dots trending again this year and I was very happy. I'm not one to follow trends so hard because if I like something I will still wear even if it's currently not trending. To me, polka dots are timeless and I can honestly wear it all year around.
When I received this dress a few weeks ago I thought it would be perfect to kick off the holiday season. Since it was still too early to start sharing holiday looks I decided to incorporate it into fall somehow. This location is everything and exactly what I had in mind. Crunchy leaves, a creek and lots of trees. The cherry on top would have been if the leaves would have already started changing colors but I still loved the location with all the greenery. I'm such a city girl and love taking pictures in the city that embody such a street style vibe but I decided to do something a little different with this dress. This dress made me feel so pretty and dainty and I love the long flowy fit at the bottom. I knew I had to shoot this look a little out of my comfort zone. Like I wrote on Instagram when I shared a sneak peek of this look, sometimes a girl just wanted to wear a pretty dress and go to the woods to take pictures. Right?!
How do you guys feel about polka dots? I feel like it's something people love or hate and theirs no in-between.
