The reason this blog was created was because people always use to ask me where did I get my outfit and when I told them where and for how much they were shocked. I pride myself in have style while not breaking the bank and today I wanted to share some with you guys on how I make that happen. Don't get me wrong I love to mix price points and will splurge on expensive items from time to time but I definitely don't ever want to lose the core of why I started this blog even though it evolves as I evolve.
When I was trying this look on to go shoot just seeing it together made feel very expensive and I asked my husband, "Do I look like I spent a hefty penny on this look put together?" He answered yes and I totally agree with him. That's what inspired me to create this post. I've always felt you don't need to spend half your bank account to have a good looking wardrobe. Here are some tips on how to look expensive if you are on a budget.
Black
This one is an easy one for me because it's one of my favorite colors in my wardrobe. Black is such a neutral and goes with pretty much everything plus it's easy to match with other colors and patterns. If you are not a fan of black, try one black piece and mix it with another pattern or color and see the difference it will make in your look.
Blazers
Blazers are a must have in your wardrobe, they are staples! The minute you add a blazer it automatically adds a polish look to any outfit. They pair well with dresses, skirts, jeans and any top underneath. There's so many styles, patterns, and colors for blazers. Any blazer will add an instant ump to any look.
Structured Bags
I love trendy bags that come in all sizes and prints but I always have structured totes and clutches in my wardrobe. A Structured bag completes an "expensive" look and the shape just gives any outfit a very finished touch. I love shopping H&M for their structured bags and they are usually under $60. I will link some of my favorites with you guys below.
Sunglasses
I actually use to hate wearing sunglasses when I first started my blog and as my style evolved I started wearing more of them. Now, whenever I'm trying on looks to shoot and I feel something is missing I try on a pair of sunglasses and it completes the look. Sunnies give you such a cool and collected vibe.
Statement accessories
When your outfit is basic, statement accessories add an instant glam. Whether it's a necklace, earrings or a corset belt like in today's look it will polish your outfit.
