Transitioning A Summer Dress Into Fall

There are so many summer pieces I'm still holding on to and I'm transitioning them into my fall wardrobe. Pretty soon the real cold harsh winter will be hitting here and that means bundled up head to toe. I'm really not looking forward to that! For now, I'm enjoying the cool weather where I can still get away with sneaking in a few summer pieces. This blue chambray stripe dress from Maude is one of those pieces that is easy to transition into fall. I'm a big fan of slip style dresses and I absolutely love this one and it's a plus for me that it has pockets. It's super comfy and has a loose fit making it easy to layer. I paired it with a high neck long sleeve top and ankle sock booties. This gave it the fall vibes I was looking for. When transition summer pieces into fall, elements like these make a big difference. I still felt the look was missing one piece and that's where the cabbie hat came in. I'm obsessed with cabbie hats at the moment and I can't seem to stop wearing this one. They are so trendy and easy to hide a bad hair day.
