It is really hard to believe but the holiday season is right around the corner! That means lots of family gatherings, holiday shopping, and holiday parties. Yeahh for the parties! 🎉 As a fashion lover, the holiday season is my favorite because I love to get dressed up in sequins, shimmery outfits, and lots of accessories. Dressing for the holidays should be fun and I know it can be daunting for some people, especially when they have to attend holiday parties from friends, work, and/or family. Today I'm sharing an easy outfit I put together that can work for any party this holiday season. I'm showing how you can do it with your wardrobe by breaking it down into three easy steps!

Your Style Guide To A Holiday Party This Season

Start with the basics

I love to wear a lot of black for the holidays because it is such a great base color that makes it easy to add sparkles and accessories without looking too overdone. I started off with a black suede ruffle skirt as my base.

Add some sparkle
Who doesn't love a little shimmer for the holidays, right? Can't have a holiday look without a little sparkle. This is where you want to add that element that stands out. Some sequins, faux fur, lace or prints. For this look, I added a gold shimmery sweater and it gave the look the sparkle I was looking for.

Accessories
Accessories also play a big part when going for a holiday look because it always elevates the entire outfit and adds the finishing touches. I added a light pink watch from Anne Klein that has a ceramic bracelet with rose gold accents. The watch adds a nice pop to my look and I just love the rectangular face. I purchased it at Macy's in the watch department. I love shopping for accessories at department stores because of their variety of brands and styles.
