Whenever a New Year rolls around I feel very motivated because, for me, a new year feels like a fresh new page I can start writing on. I love sharing every moment of my life with you guys and hope to motivate you or bring some positivity into your life with everything I share. I think that’s the beauty of having this platform because I can open up and share real-life stories you can hopefully relate to. I want to share with you guys that YES moment for me that’s bringing me so much motivation to take on the new year tall and strong.
Storytime calls for a warm bowl of soup and I’m going to share my story with my favorite Well Yes!® Soups. They come in a large variety of great flavors but chicken noodle is one of my favorites. I love that it’s made with chicken meat and no antibiotics. All Well Yes! and here's a coupon for your next purchase! Soups contain healthy ingredients and do not contain artificial flavors or colors. I love brands that have a great message and Well Yes! Soups brings a positive and joyfulness value to their brand. They also consistently challenge you to not keep things the way they are in the canned soup category. That value is the same one I want to bring to my blog in the new year. I think when we step out of our comfort zone and challenge the status quo magical things happen.
Back in 2016, I was working a corporate job making great money. One might say it was the perfect job. It was a small office so everyone got along very well. I had an amazing boss who was extremely generous and understanding with the whole team. One day my husband asked me how’s work going and I told him everything was great but I’m not happy. Even though everything was perfect about the job I knew this is not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I’ve had a passion for fashion and had this blog and just didn’t have the courage to make it my full-time job. Every time I would even think about it financial insecurities would come up and just the thought of my dream not working out would scare me. Life played my hand and at the end of 2016, I was let go due to budget cuts. My first instinct was to panic amidst repeated “what do I do now” questions but it was a blessing in disguise and I just didn’t know it. The disappointment of being let go from my job finally gave me a chance going into 2017 of turning my blog into my full-time career. In that year I learned so many things about myself and what I’m capable of doing once I step out of that comfort zone. I went full force and worked at it endlessly. It wasn’t always easy in the beginning but once I took a risk and pushed myself I felt magic happen. That YES moment for me was when I was able to start paying my bills with the money the blog generated. It felt real to me and it has made me feel fearless going into 2018. If I work hard and put my mind to something I can accomplish it.
So where does this leave me for the new upcoming year ahead of me? I want to try more things out of my comfort zone. I've always talked about getting more visual with my blog and possibly creating a Youtube channel but even at the thought of that always made me scared. I won't let fear take over though because I know that once I let go of that fear there are amazing things on the other side. I want my future moments of YES in the new year to consist of being fearless. What is something you want to say YES to? If there is one thing I have learned in the past year it is to say YES to your DREAMS! Don’t let excuses or negative thoughts consume you or make you lose focus on what you want. Say YES because you deserve it!
