Bumpdate - Second Trimester

Happy Friday beautiful people! It's a very windy day in the District today I'm talking things flying off my balcony windy. I feel like we have one good spring day and then get rain or crazy wind the rest of the week. I know it's not officially spring yet but come on spring this pregnant girl wants to wear spring dresses already. Good thing I took advantage of the warm day this week to shoot a few looks. I'm super excited I finally bought a few maternity jeans because I was really tired of wearing tights. Lol. The ones I'm wearing in today's look are from Old Navy maternity and they fit comfortably around the waist. I don't plan on spending on a ton of money on maternity pieces during my pregnancy because I feel it's unnecessary. Lucky for me I will be my biggest during the spring and summer months so I plan on sizing up on regular maxi dresses.


I've officially entered my second trimester and from what I been reading and heard from other mommies is that it's the best trimester. I can see why! I'm finally over morning sickness, I have more energy to do the things I enjoyed doing before and best of all my aversions are gone. I absolutely hated all sweet things during my first trimester and those that know me know that I'm a cookie, ice cream, pretty much anything sugary lover. Feels good to eat those things again! In about 2 weeks we get to know the sex of the baby and I'm so excited to find out. About 90 percent of friends and family say it's a boy because my hair is shiny and long or because my skin is super clear. I think it's pretty funny but hubby and I are super excited to find out.
