Playing Dress Up

A lot of people lately have been telling me how I'm so well put together pregnant (especially this far along). I can honestly say don't let social media fool you. Just because I post all these pretty dressed up pictures doesn't mean that's how I feel every day. I definitely have my days where I feel super crapy, messy hair and wearing the only pair of sweats that fit me in the house. When I do have a good day though I just go with it and do all the things that make happy whether that's makeup, dressing up and looking put together. One of the things I promised myself since the beginning of this pregnancy was to not lose myself. I wanted to still do the things that make me happy. I knew there would be good days and bad days but on those good days, I want to roll with it and do things I enjoy.

That was my thought process behind this look. I can't wear heels like these anymore to actually walk and go places so I said why not dress up and shoot this look. I was actually surprised to see this ruffle dress still fit me! It's actually not a one shoulder dress but I've styled it here before and just wanted to make it look different. I think the tassel earrings gave it a more dressed up vibe. I found these on sale at H&M. I usually don't go for statement earrings but these were too cute to pass up!
