I have to be honest with you guys, I'm not really a shorts kind of girl. All my life I have always had a complex with my legs. Everyone always compliments me on them and it's the one part of my body I'm not a fan of. I can count on my hands the amount of times I wear any type of shorts during the summer. I always find one or two that I love and that fit me well and I stick to those. These denim cutoffs are a favorite from last summer and miraculously still fit with the extra baby weight I still have lingering. I'm calling this a big win for me!
Denim shorts are great for summer. You can wear them casual or even with heels for a summer night out on the town. Today's look ended up being one of my favorites last minute. I paired it with this flowy henley tunic top from Lookbook Store. The material of this top is so soft, and I love the wooded button details in the front. It gives a plain black top a little umph! It's a tunic top so it's a great length to wear tucked in but I went for some "cool girl" vibes and tied it up at the front. Although it gave the look a little personality it still felt plain to me and I knew accessories would help. That's the best way to spruce up a plain look! Unintentionally all my accessories were black and white but the sunglasses, kicks' and beaded bag brought the look to life. This was such an easy way to look stylish and comfortable with shorts for the summer!
