Happy Monday guys! Kicking off the week with a hair care post. I got a amazing amount of feed back on my last hair post so I wanted to incorporate more hair post on the blog. Today I'm sharing a DIY mask you can do at home that's amazing for the hair. I love to do home hair treatments 2-3 times a month. Sometimes it gets hard if I'm having a busy month but one of my resolutions this year was to keep up with taking care of my hair so I will make the time to give my hair the TLC it needs.
Avocado and coconut oil has so many good benefits for your hair. Both these ingredients contain healthy fats that can give all types of hair hydration and lubrication. Avocados have fatty acids and essential vitamins to strengthen hair against breakage and the coconut oil is great for stimulating hair growth and also provides a nice shine.
So let's create an avocado and coconut oil hair mask!!!
Ingredients: Coconut oil ( I got this jar at my local beauty supply store) and 1 avocado from my local market.
I used half of a small avocado because my hair is not super thick nor super long so depending on your length and thickness of hair you might want to use a full avocado.
Smash it up and add a little bit of water until it looks smoothes with no chunks. FYI it was so hard not to dip a chip inside this bowl and just eat the avocado as a dip. LOL.
Melt 1 tsp of coconut oil until it becomes liquid and combine it with the avocado and mix it. (I used 1tsp due to my length of hair.)
Apply all over hair.
Leave on for 20 minutes and done!
You can wear a cap or plastic bag if you're dripping or don't want to make a mess if you're going to move around the house in those 20 minutes. When rinsing you're going to need A LOT of water to get the avocado out!
After I washed my hair and blew it out my hair felt stronger and thicker. I love that feeling! (Insert girl emoji flipping hair).
Thanks for stopping by!
Have any of you guys tried this hair mask?
